London February 9 2022: JLL today highlights its commitment to helping organisations accelerate their drive towards ‘Net Zero’ by announcing that Alexandra Ingram is being promoted to a new post of Head of Sustainability for Capital Markets EMEA.

Ali Ingram will work on embedding ESG across JLL’s Capital Markets teams and ensuring that both environmental and social values are at the heart of client strategies. Ali will be instrumental in advancing JLL’s ambitious sustainability commitments and advice to help clients reach their own net-zero emissions targets.

JLL’s recent ‘Decarbonizing the Built Environment”’ report highlighted how the trend for more responsible and sustainable business will impact real estate portfolios. More than 80 per cent of occupiers and investors agree that a strong partnership between cities, occupiers and investors will be instrumental to pushing the net-zero carbon agenda.

Despite the value seen in driving down carbon emissions and accelerating the race to Net Zero, the action plans of many occupiers are still in their nascency with 43 per cent reporting that they are only in the early stages of defining what they are going to do.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Ms Ingram joined JLL’s Asia Pacific capital markets team based out of Hong Kong in 2013 and has since worked in numerous locations including Shanghai, Tokyo and now Europe. Since joining the International Capital Markets Offices team in 2017, she has centred on the European Office and Life Sciences Market.

“Sustainability must be at the top of our priority list, and Ali’s enthusiasm to drive change in this area is second to none,” Matthew Richards, JLL CEO Capital Markets, EMEA said. “Ali will help JLL to integrate ESG into all client advice to deepen the relationships we have and help us become the most knowledgeable, creative and connected capital advisor in the industry.”

Ali Ingram, Head of Sustainability, Capital Markets, EMEA, JLL, said: “We’re now in an era of responsible real estate and the rise of ESG will have a transformational effect on corporate real estate and capital markets. 2022 is the year for real action and I’m honoured to be tasked with helping our investors meet the ambitious goals that have been set. In addition to capital markets, JLL is committed to integrating sustainability into all of its core business lines such as leasing and valuations and this collaboration across business lines will be vital. My ambition is for JLL to be the number one ESG capital markets advisor across Europe and I’m excited to embark on this journey.”
